Ann Arbor Pioneer edges Bloomfield Hills to repeat as Division 1 champions
Bloomfield Hills and Ann Arbor Pioneer both scored 30 points to tie for the Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 1 girls tennis championship. Birmingham Seaholm was third with 20 points. Pioneer swept the singles flights (Reese Miller, No. 1; Elsie Van Wieren, No. 2: Mia Goldstein, No. 3; and Bridgette Kelly, No. 4) and Bloomfield Hills won three of four doubles flights (Hannah Tomina and Noa Goldstein, No. 1; Reagen Tomina and Carly Bernard, No. 2, and Eryn Stern and Natalie Raab, No. 3). Bloomfield Hills and Pioneer tied 4-4 in their only match of the regular season.

Grand Rapids Forest Hills Northern wins second straight Division 2 championship
No. 1-ranked Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central edged No. 2-ranked Birmingham Seaholm to earn its second straight Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 2 girls tennis championship. Forest Hills Central finished with 34 points for the victory. Seaholm was second with 30 points. No. 6-ranked Mattawan was third with 18 points. Forest Hills Northern won two doubles flights, with the teams of Sophie Richards and Rhea Marwaha (No. 1) and Isabella Paul and Ryan Morey (No. 2) earning titles. Seaholm won the other two doubles flights, with the teams of Jane Wineman and Tatum Hirsch (No. 3) and Sydney Fong and Jenna Ting (No. 4) earning titles. Mattawan’s Lizzie Novak (No. 1) and Romika Shokohi (No. 2) won singles titles. Portage Central’s Anna Dinsmore won at No. 3 singles. Battle Creek Lakeview’s Paula Martinez won at No. 4 singles

Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood earns first Division 3 championship since 2015
No. 1-ranked Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood dominated the field to earn its first Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 3 girls tennis championship since 2015. Cranbrook finished with 37 points, well ahead of No. 5-ranked Chelsea with 21 points. No. 2-ranked East Grand Rapids was third with 20 points. Cranbrook swept the four singles flights with Yenna Park (No. 1), Charlotte Brown (No. 2), Sienna Ilitch (No. 3), and Olivia Zhang (No. 4) winning individual championships. Cranbrook won two of the four doubles flights with the teams of Ava Clogg and Grace Zhang (No. 3) and Daryn Krause and Kayli Lala (No. 4) winning championships. Detroit Country Day’s Peja Liles and Lana Haddad won No. 1 doubles. East Grand Rapids’ Meg Simon and Ella Webb won No. 2 doubles.

No. 2-ranked and three-time defending champion Bloomfield Hills Academy of the Sacred Heart was second with 26 points. No. 3-ranked Grand Rapids Catholic Central was third with 18 points. Greenhills won two of the four doubles flights with the teams of Rukmini Nallamothu and Georgie Branch (No. 1) and Sabeen Malick and Meera Tewari (No. 4) earning championships. Sacred Heart’s Jade Horcoff and Angelina Kakos (No. 2) and Lulu George and Maggie Pulte (No. 3) won the other doubles flights. Greenhills’ Shangyang Xia (No. 2) and Sophie Chen (No. 3) won singles titles. Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett’s Maddy Zampardo won No. 1 singles.
