   Division 1 No. 3-ranked Birmingham Seaholm won the Michigan High School Athletic Association Region 4 girls tennis championship on Thursday, May 20, at Livonia Churchill.

   Sophia MacKinnon (No. 1), Carly Burkel (No. 3), and Courtney Marcum (No. 4) won singles titles for Seaholm.

   The teams of Ashley Buechner and Madelieine Leo (No. 1), Nina Graham

 

and Jane Wineman (No. 2), Katie Slazinski and Kaitlyn Marcum (No. 3), and Tatum Hirsch and Ellie Wyzykowski (No. 4) won doubles championships for the Maples.

  Seaholm advance to the MHSAA Division 1 final at Mason and Okemos, on June 4-5.

   Seaholm was Division 2 runner-up in 2019 and champion in 2018. The 2020 season was cancelled due to the pandemic.
