   Division 2 No. 2-ranked Bloomfield Hills Marian won the Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 2, Region12 girls tennis championship on Wednesday, May 19, at North Farmington.

   Marian edged No. 5-ranked Birmingham Groves for the title, 28-27. Both teams advance to the MHSAA Division 2 final at Midland Tennis Center and Midland Dow, on June 4-5.

   The Mustangs won three doubles flights with the teams of senior

 

 

Kathryn Torok and senior Sarah Kuredjian (No. 1), senior Gabi Saba and junior Keely Nykerk (No. 2), and senior Marcella Zarouk and junior Meghan Sharkey (No. 4) winning titles.

   In singles, Marian junior Maddie Namy (No. 2) and freshman Lily Low (No. 4) earned championships.

   Marian finished third in the 2019 Division 2 finals. The 2020 season was canceled due to the pandemic.
