   Division 1 No. 2-ranked Bloomfield Hills won the Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 1, Region 7 girls tennis championship on Thursday, May 20, at Clarkston.

   Bloomfield Hills finished with 29 points. Clarkston finished second with 18 points. Both teams advance to the MHSAA Division 1 final at Mason and Okemos, on June 4-5.

   The Black Hawks swept the doubles flights. The teams of Hannah Tomina and Noa Goldstein (No.1), Reagen Tomina and Carly Bernard

 

 

(No. 2), Eryn Stern and Natalie Raab (No. 3), and Grace Bickersteth and Ellie Alberts (No. 4) won championships.

   Grace Shaya (No. 3) and Julia Yousif (No. 4) won singles titles for the Black Hawks.

   “It was a great day for us. We had pretty high expectations going into the day, but you never know how things will play out,” Bloomfield Hills coach Chris Dobson told reporters. “We really did play well in every flight. I was really happy for the girls. They were very prepared and played very well.”

   Bloomfield Hills finished second in the 2019 Division 1 finals. The 2020 season was cancelled due to the pandemic.
